I think I'm coming down with a cold. This is pretty unusual, but I think I've finally fallen ill. I'm going through tissues like nobody's business. | | Thursday, August 11th, 2005 | | 1:17 pm |
Russian is fashionable this fall. Link | | Thursday, July 21st, 2005 | | 1:55 pm |

Praise...Yahweh for Lawry's seasoned salt and the George Foreman grill. | | Thursday, July 14th, 2005 | | 8:23 am |
The budget is tight this month. I'm over my semi-monthly limit anyway. I'll have to carry my expenses over into the next half of this month. I've been set back a couple times already. I think I'll be able to take one more major expenditure this month, and that will be today. Gah. Pre-sale tickets. At least it is a worthy expenditure. | | Monday, July 11th, 2005 | | 11:10 am |
So, I am at work. I took a Zyrtec this morning as I got in. I noticed a few new spots, so hopefully they won't be blowing up into ginormously itchy mofos, and I will then curse, curse my luck and all the long scratchy days I have before me. Meanwhile, my pay for June 30th is still MIA. My stuff for the next pay period is due tomorrow. I really want that money. Where eeez eeet | | Wednesday, July 6th, 2005 | | 2:59 pm |
I didn't bother laying to rest until about midnight, only to realize I didn't really know how to get to Fruitvale station from the end of the 51 line. I found out that I had to get on the bus on Center and Shattuck at 6:04 am. Oh, I was frustrated. I don't think anyone really sympathized with me after relating these facts later. Sometimes early risers must arise even earlier, arse. Well, ladida, no BART strike. Hooray. Jason and I nabbed hella ice cream last night, along with vodka and gin. Andronico's has Haagen Daz 4/$10. That is a lot of ice cream for a pretty good price. We are bringing three of them to the pre-party/Big Lebowski shindig on Friday. Cake and ice creammmm... | | Tuesday, July 5th, 2005 | | 1:08 pm |
AAAAAAHHH IT'S BACK MY ECZEMA | | Friday, July 1st, 2005 | | 9:27 am |
As I was hustling to the BART station, as I do every morning, my mind wandered away from the immediate situation. It takes only an instant to lose grip on the activity at hand and find myself colliding w/ solid and unforgiving concrete on the corner of Allston and Shattuck. And it only takes that brief moment for two women crossing the street to gasp in terror at seeing me hit the ground. A little skid really never hurt anyone. A bruised ego would be the most serious injury here. This is the first time I took a dive making my morning run. | | Monday, June 20th, 2005 | | 10:59 am |
It seems like I have eczema. But then, eczema is essentially caused by allergies. I guess I can keep taking Benadryl. Maybe see a real doctor some time. I discover new patches everyday. It's been like two weeks already. I hope this is the last set. Meanwhile... ... I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor! I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor! I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor! I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor! | | Thursday, June 16th, 2005 | | 1:08 pm |
Meanwhile, allergies persist. I've resorted to placing bandaids on wounds. Wounds caused by scratching. | | Wednesday, June 15th, 2005 | | 12:11 pm |
What else happened at 8:30 am...Helen was surfing the net in search of local Afghani restaurants b/c she desired Afghani food in the near future. Ray saw that Helen was not doing anything of consequence and told her to make coffee. | | 11:43 am |
@8:30 am Ray: "Are those Adidas?" Me: "Yeah." Ray: "ohh..." And then I get a knowing yet disapproving look. I was thinking, "have I violated the office dress code?" I've seen worse around here. I am wearing a blouse, but these jeans I've recently laundered still have residual curry stains. Eek. (OMG remember that show Eek, the Cat? It was the best ever. I wonder if it's on DVD.) Me: "Is there something wrong w/ Adidas?" Ray: "Oh, no. I just prefer Nike myself." OOhhh...wearing the wrong brand, yo. Ray: "Lisa used to wear Pumas and...Sketchers, was it? But that's more of a style thing, not really an athletic shoe." ooooo...I was just thinking that I should make my signature shoes the Cons/Chucks, whatever you call them. I only have one pair of Adidas anyway. I wanted to get a pair of Pumas, but Lisa was the person I replaced, kind of. My current pair of black Chucks are way too emo for this place. I'm going get a new pair after work. Blue, I'm thinking. | | Friday, June 10th, 2005 | | 11:51 am |
My god, people - it doesn't even look legitimate
From: http://www.webpronews.com/news/ebusinessnews/wpn-45-20050610JacksonSuicideTopicFuelsMaliciousEmail.html"A mass mailed e-mail carrying a link to an alleged account of a suicide attempt by Michael Jackson connects to a malware site. "The spam contains misspellings and looks like this: Subject: Re: Suicidal aattempt Message text: Last night, while in his Neverland Ranch, Michael Jackson has made a suicidal attempt. They suggest this attempt follows the last claim was made against the king of pop. 46 years old Michael has left pre-suicid note which describes and interpretes some of his sins. Read more... "The Read More text contains the malicious link. Users should, as usual, make sure their antivirus software is up to date. All computer users should be very careful about clicking on weblinks in unsolicited email or launching unknown attachments." I really don't think that users need to keep abreast on the lastest antivirus updates, I think they just need to stop being... IDIOTS. Seriously, it's like some bored fob wrote that rather than an actual journalist. I don't know why this is making me so upset. Maybe it's b/c mishaps like this can be so easily prevented. Grr. So I walked up the length of the street they call Straight, cursing myself cos I go there too late
So, let me say, when it rains, throw those public transportation plans out the window cos they no longer apply. And so this morning, I caught my usual BART train, barely made it, like every other day. It's just that today, it was raining. My train stopped about every 2 or 3 minutes. I was worried I would miss the shuttle I had to take from Fruitvale. In my haste to call the driver, I end up calling the coordinator. Yep, I got to Fruitvale behind schedule and was effectively stranded. A woman kept asking if the shuttle had come by. I didn't actually understand what the shuttle driver told me over the phone ("I'm rollin'" - whu?), so I wasn't really answering her question. United in our plight, we attempt to catch a cab. That doesn't happen. She gives me the number of her co-worker who might be able to drive us. She forgot her phone so we use my cell (+points for me). It ends up he can drive. We take a train to San Leandro, and we get to Harbor Bay by 8:35, I'm thinking. I start at 8:30. I guess I am forever indebted to Marta and Guillermo. Woo. Anyway, my boss wasn't even in the office by the time I got there. Lesson here, when it rains when it shouldn't, take the BART train before the one I originally planned to take. Boo. I apologize that this post isn't written with any literary flare and wit. Current Mood: tired | | Tuesday, June 7th, 2005 | | 12:48 pm |
You know, the last Family Guy was okay. By far, the best part was when Peter and the rest were on stage for their first performance and then Peter blurts out, "OH MY GOD, WE DON'T KNOW ANY SONGS..." hahahahaha Silliness. ... Discuss. Current Mood: amused | | Monday, June 6th, 2005 | | 1:15 pm |
OMG OMG ... I forgot my mango! I cut it up all nice last night, only to forget it this morning. dang. Here, I sit. In my cube. Mangoless. Be this divine retribution for recent transgressions...or just forgetfulness, it makes me sad. I could have had a better lunch. Current Mood: contemplative | | Friday, June 3rd, 2005 | | 9:13 am |
